Assistant Resources
The Center for Teaching Development has a wealth
of resources for TAs available online. Of course,
more resources can be found by coming into the CTD
office (located on the third floor of Center Hall).
Browse or print the UCSD Teaching Assistant Handbook
to learn about everything from TA policies and procedures
to financial and administrative matters, teaching
techniques and suggestions, and everything in between.
Please note that to view the handbook you must
have the Adobe Acrobat Reader installed. If you
don't already have Acrobat Reader, click
here to download it for free.
The Center Mentor is CTD's own newsletter,
published at various times throughout the year.
Valuable tips and techniques for new teaching
assistants can be found on this page, including
several short movies demonstrating key concepts.
End-of-quarter student evaluations are a valuable
way to improve your teaching abilities. Download
ready-made course evaluations for every academic
discipline, or create your own course evaluation.
